Our client is a specialist internal partitioning & joinery contractor  for commercial fit outs within the South of England.

They directly employ in the region of 50 highly skilled operatives, ranging from Project Managers, Site Managers to glass partition fixers, drywall fixers, carpenters and tape and jointers.

Our client is now seeking to appoint internal partition apprentices specialising in glass partitions to work within a team to deliver the highest quality glazed partitions and take instructions from the site management team to ensure delivery of projects on time snag free.  This vacancy is open to people who can travel and work within the M25, the majority of work being in Central London.

Reading and understanding plan and detail drawings to set out locations of partitions and build what is required, you will be involved in the installation of structures or fixtures, such as aluminium framework, timber framework using carpenters hand or power tools; shaping or cutting material to specified measurements and installing various sizes/specifications of glass to partition system.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to achieve an NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Interior Systems which will include college attendance of varying blocks (2, 3 and 4 weeks) usually within the initial first 18 months of the 24 month programme.  Travel and accommodation will be provided if necessary.      

No formal qualifications are required; however, it would be useful to have stronger English, Maths and Technology skills.  Numeracy skills in particular are necessary as you’ll be calculating surface areas and volumes and you should have a good head for heights and the ability to follow instructions clearly.
