We are looking to recruit a Plant Centre Manager to join our friendly team. As Plant Centre Manager you will be responsible for maximising the sales and profit for the RHS flagship Plant Centre, you will achieve this by providing an industry leading customer experience, through creating inspiring environments, managing your ranges with the Head of Retail Wisley, developing engaging customer experiences and events and managing a motivated and customer focused team.

Overview of the role:
- To deliver the sales and profit targets for the RHS Wisley Plant Centre, delivering retail excellence together with high levels of customer service, range management and product presentation.
- Train, manage and develop the team to ensure high levels of customer service and the necessary levels of product knowledge and customer care of the Plant Centre.
- Review product ranges and product performance and in discussion with the Head of Retail Wisley.
- Ensure that all stock is effectively managed in a controlled and timely manner, ensuring system accuracy at all times.
- Work with the Head of Wisley Retail to activate the agreed marketing and event plans, ensuring these drive the maximum financial return possible.
- Deliver the highest visual display and signage standards, following any guidance issued as appropriate, ensuring these are delivering commercially and are brand appropriate.
- Support the Head of Retail Wisley to prepare budgets and forecasts as appropriate and to ensure their effective delivery and that costs are managed within budgeted levels.
- To deputise in the absence of the Head of Retail Wisley as the main support for full retail activities onsite.

Essential Experience and Qualifications:
- Experience at a Garden Centre / Store Manager or large scale Assistant Manager level within a quality retail business, for a minimum of 2 years.
- Has close attention to detail with strong analytical skills, to include P&L management.
- Proven good people management skills from a similarly sized retail business.
- Ability to communicate accurately and effectively.
- Educated to degree level, also has a horticultural qualification.
