This role is a key part of the HR strategy and as such you will work closely with senior stakeholders to understand their business objectives and translate these goals into an effective people strategy.

To be successful in the role you will need to be a strong influencer and be able to proactively develop and drive the people focussed agenda. You will be expected to provide innovative solutions to problems and challenges. Your time will be split between our Bristol head office and our stores around the UK meaning a driving licence is essential. A company car is provided.

As HR Business Partner your main responsibilities will be:

-Adding value by offering an appropriate blend of proactive and reactive solutions to meet business needs
-Responsible for the development of strategic people management, talent management and succession planning activities for relevant stakeholders
-Developing and executing strategies to build the capability of our People Leaders
-Developing and executing project plans to drive organisational change, leading on collective consultation exercises
-Providing 'thought leadership' on issues that could improve the operation and performance of the business and the HR team
-Overseeing and managing complex Employee Relations case work, supporting formal hearings and appeals - whilst coaching Managers on best practice

To apply for this role your experience and skills should include:

-Previous experience working at an HR Business Partner or HR Manager level ideally from within a retail or multi-site business
-Experience of planning and executing organisational change programmes
-Experience in managing complex Employee Relations casework (disciplinary, grievance, capability)
-Full CIPD qualification
-Demonstrable experience of influencing and challenging Senior Managers
-Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
