A full time vacancy has arisen for a Receptionist/Legal Secretary to work in the reception area of our Truro Office.
The purpose of this role is to provide a high quality reception and secretarial service. A friendly and professional client facing and telephone manner is essential and a background in secretarial work would be beneficial.
You will be responsible for coordinating bookings of meeting rooms, arranging in-house catering, and handling client telephone enquiries, photocopying and general front of house duties. You must also be willing to assist others with administrative duties, including filing, post, etc.
In addition to the reception responsibilities associated with this role, the job holder will also be required to complete secretarial duties on a regular basis. This is likely to involve providing support to the fee earning teams with digital dictation.
The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a focus on quality client care. You will ideally be used to working in a busy and highly professional legal practice. Due to the secretarial nature of the role, a typing speed of a minimum of 65wpm is desirable.
The position would suit someone who is highly organised, accurate, pro-active and who is also approachable and flexible. Attention to detail is essential.
You should be used to dealing with a busy and varied workload with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
