Contract: Permanent, full time

We are seeking an enthusiastic, capable Accountant with good technical financial knowledge and great communication skills to join our Children’s Social Care finance team (full-time, 37 hours per week), primarily based in County Hall, Exeter.

Reporting to the Senior Accountant (Adoption, Early Help and Co-Ordination) the post holder will provide a comprehensive finance function to Senior Finance and Service Managers, the newly formed South West Regional Adoption Agency Operational Board and other internal and external stakeholders.

The post holder will be responsible for ensuring strong financial planning and control, which will include advising the Senior Accountant and Operational Board whether risk and benefit share arrangements are set at appropriate levels.

Development work will be required as changes in service delivery and financing are progressed locally and nationally.

You must be able to multi-task and maintain attention to detail, have the ability to think ahead, work on own initiative, prioritise workloads, and have a flexible approach.
