Do you want to progress in your travel career and looking to work for a strong, leading tour operator? Travel Sales & Reservations Consultant required for this Edinburgh based specialist tour operator.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
My client is looking for an experienced Travel Reservations Consultant for their busy specialist department selling travel to a range of destinations. You will have previous relevant experience and preferably trained on flight system Galileo, however training can be given. We require a bright team player, capable of working well under pressure and committed to providing exceptional levels of customer service alongside proven sales experience.
Your focus will be answering enquiries and building appropriate tailor-made travel packages, matching customer requirements.
Additional duties will include:
- Issue quotes and sell tailor-made travel, directly to clients and via travel agents.
- Take bookings, payments and ensure any subsequent enquiries are handled in an efficient and friendly manner.
- Use a good telephone manner and a high level of enthusiasm to deliver a friendly & dedicated service.
- Work well within this passionate and hard-working team, as well as working, off initiative, independently.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
A strong knowledge of the travel industry, working in a role of this nature, is required along with strong customer service, written, oral and communication skills are required. GDS Galileo is a strong advantage but not essential, as training can be delivered. Specific niche product knowledge is also an advantage but, again, product knowledge can be delivered. THE PACKAGE: There is a highly competitive basic salary and commission / bonus scheme in return for your hard working, working for this leading tour operator, within this award winning team. Opportunities to travel and gain further, invaluable experience are also delivered.

Salary will reflect experience but in the region of GBP19,000 OTE. Hours are Monday - Friday 9am - 5.30pm.
