Accounts Assistant
Accountancy Services are currently looking for an Assistant Accountant for 12 weeks to cover a vacancy within our Financial Systems team.
We are seeking an experienced individual who has a breadth of financial systems experience and has a working knowledge of Cedar e-Financials or similar financial systems.
Some of the duties of the post include the following:
Systems administrative work, including establishment, control and validation of codes, fields and records; importing, reconciliation and loading of system files into the ledger; control account clearance where necessary and maintenance of audit reports.
Systems support to other Council Directorates, Council Companies and external organisations.
System training to finance and non-finance managers and staff as and when required.
Responsibility for the on-going adaptation, design & development and management of the Council's financial system (Cedar e-Financials).
Adaptation, development and management of the Council's E-Procurement system.
You will need to demonstrate good communication skills, excellent IT skills and the ability to work under your own initiative and effectively within a team
