Marketing and Events Coordinator

Cambridge

Brook Street is currently working on behalf of our Global IT Client to recruit a Marketing and Events Coordinator for an 18 month contract in Cambridge.

Role Purpose

Our Research team in Cambridge, UK, is looking for an experienced Marketing and Events professional to provide and manage a dedicated business support service to a team of world-leading researchers and engineers.

  • Events: Co-ordinate a variety of internal and external events. Own the co-ordination of external hosted events in the lab i. Charity, Educational and guest events.
  • Manage room booking requests for the public areas of the lab.
  • Manage approval for event activities in line with company policies surrounding H&S, anti-corruption, privacy and data protection.
  • Marketing Collateral:

    • Maintain a record of collateral stock levels, order as required.
    • Distribution of marketing materials for internal and external events.
    • Maintain Marcomms collateral in reception area.
    • Co-ordinate the development and production of new marketing collateral.
  • Manage digital signage in the building.
  • Photography and filming:

    • Commission and manage bi-annual photography to keep staff portraits and stock photography up to date.
    • Provide production support for marketing video content, including scheduling of filming and chaperoning film crews.
  • Manage group purchasing and team budget tracking.
  • Speaker Management: Co-ordinate speaker requests and maintenance of the speaker management system in collaboration with the Events & Communications Manager.
  • Ensure that the Marketing Communications files are maintained are up to date.
  • Other adhoc Marketing Communication duties as required.

Key skills:

  • Excellent planning and organisational skills (ability to multi-task and prioritise).
  • Great communication skills.
  • Excellent written English skills and attention to detail (must be a fluent English speaker).
  • Strong IT skills and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Experience:

  • Proven experience in an events role.
  • Marketing experience desirable.

Salary: up to £31,058 per annum plus end of contract bonus and benefits

Location: Cambridge
