The Company is the leading representative body for the UK offshore oil and gas industry with offices in London and Aberdeen.
They currently seek an exceptional editorial specialist to join a busy design, digital and editorial team as their Editorial Adviser, based in London. Reporting to the Design, Digital & Editorial Manager, you will undertake duties with a strong emphasis on writing, editing, digital, social media skills and proof-reading.
About the Role:
You will be responsible for delivering an effective suite of print and digital publishing tools that meet the Company's business priorities, reinforce their brand and enhance its reputation.
The Candidate:
Candidates should have extensive copywriting, editing, corporate and report writing experience preferably with a journalistic background and relevant editorial qualifications and/or training. Ideally having experience working with technical content e. energy, engineering, science of similar. You will also possess a strong news sense with an ability to write and edit content in different editorial styles, from corporate reports to news and features, to marketing copywriting.
The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal and communication skills and a high degree of literacy. As well as a keen eye for detail and creative writing style, strong time management, project planning and organisational skills as well as being a flexible team player. Intermediate level of using content management systems, email marketing systems, InDesign, PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Acrobat are essential.
This is an exciting role in a high-profile organisation at the heart of one of the country's most important industrial sectors. An understanding of membership organisations, energy issues in general and the oil and gas industry is essential. You must have a keen interest in the industry's wide-ranging issues and topics, as well as the capacity to cope under pressure.
