Funeral Service Operative
About Us
At Funeral Partners, we offer a sensitive, professional service to the families in our care, and we are leading the way in setting new standards of excellence within the profession.
The Opportunity
Calm and professional, our Funeral Operatives play a vital role in our service, and are often the first members of the team to meet our families. A good Funeral Service Operative will be able to provide reassurance to families that we will take good care of their loved ones whilst we prepare them for their final journey.
In addition to bringing people's loved ones into our care, Funeral Service Operatives play an active role behind the scenes, working in the mortuary, fitting coffins, and dressing the deceased; as well as participating in funeral services, pallbearing, and helping to ensure everything goes smoothly.
Being a Funeral Service Operative can be challenging and rewarding, and no two days are quite the same. It can also be an opportunity to progress into a career as a Funeral Director if you have the determination to do so.
Your duties will include driving company vehicles, so you'll need a full driving licence. You'll also have a place on the out of hours, and on-call rota, which will provide an opportunity to earn additional payments.
The Benefits
In addition to the basic salary, you’ll have the opportunity to earn extra through on-call, and out of hours payments, and our annual bonus scheme. Additional benefits include life assurance, pension, employee assistance service, and 31 days' holiday including public holidays.
Come and join us, we will give you all the tools you need to be a success.
