Maintenance Craftsperson (Electrician)

Operations & Maintenance Division

Salary: Band 4 £19,409-£22,683 + £3,300 (circa) flexibility pay, depending on experience (pay rise pending).

A vacancy has arisen for the post of Electrical Craftsperson at Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Working within the Operations & Maintenance Division as part of a multi-discipline maintenance team providing reactive and planned preventative maintenance services to Arrowe Park and Clatterbridge Hospitals.

You will have completed a recognised apprenticeship in an electrical craft and have a high level of competence in dealing with both electrical and mechanical equipment.

Experience of electrical maintenance, fire detection systems and electrical installation inspections is essential, as is a good working knowledge of the

Electricity at Work Regulations and the IEE Wiring Regulations. Experience of working with Standby Generators, HVAC Plant, Nurse Call systems and L.V. Switchgear would be an advantage.

The successful candidate will be contractually obliged to participate in both the hospital’s on-call system should this become necessary and generator testing at both sites.

Benefits include, annual leave entitlement of 27 to 33 days dependant upon service and a Contributory Final Salary Pension.
