This is an opportunity to join a fast growing novelty gifts company based in Cardiff, Wales. Their online stores are present in all English speaking countries as well as Germany, France and Spain. They have a technology-first approach to building and launching new innovative products and they are looking to further expand their operations to other markets, as well as consolidate their positions in the ones they already activate.

About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to work on entirely new and unique projects! They are a small team so you will work closely with everyone in the company. This means you'll work on many exciting tasks like prototyping new customer funnels (i. Landing pages, A/B testing different features), and updating current websites to suit business needs.

They use a variety of technologies to maintain and develop their websites and infrastructure: PHP, JavaScript (AngularJS, canvas), RabbitMQ, CUPS, GoLang, various AWS services (EC2, Lambda, SES, etc.). You will join a small development team and mainly be responsible for the PrestaShop stores that are already deployed. You will work closely with other developers, as well as Marketing and their CEO to launch new features and update the current websites.

The Job is in Cardiff however we are open to applicants that are looking to work remotely.

Essential skills
- All-around knowledge of PHP, having used it on previous jobs
- Understand the basics of themes and templating systems (like smarty)
- Good knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, MySQL
- Ability to work independently and self-manage tasks
- Good knowledge of GIT

Desired skills
- Experience with an e-commerce platform (PrestaShop is a big plus)
- Responsive design
- AngularJS
- Automated testing using tools like Selenium
- Server Deployment & Management
- Linux
- Nginx
- Experience with consuming REST APIs

Responsibilities:
- Implement new features and changes into existing systems
- Maintain current systems and codebase
- Assist others in troubleshooting technical problems
