1. Job Details
Job title: Digital Media & Communications Officer
Location: Head Office Leicester, Regional from time to time
Reports to: Head of HR & Operations
Responsible for: no direct reports
2. Job Purpose
The Digital Media & Communications Officer is responsible for ensuring that stores and the business are represented in the best possible way on digital media channels whilst supporting the wider marketing and profile-raising opportunities for the business overall. It is also responsible for the delivery of effective communications and relevant strategies aiding to drive sales within the business.
3. Main Responsibilities:
To provide and maintain the marketing strategy for the organisation including the digital media function;
To outline and deliver communications strategy fit for purpose and future proof,
To pro-actively contribute to the promotion of the business and implement marketing projects and trials,
To clearly and concisely communicate business and store specific initiatives to managers so that they remain well informed of business activity and of their required contribution to targets,
To target key areas and identify marketing opportunities, whilst working in line with the wider agenda,
To develop new and innovative ways to raise consumer and business engagement with the business,
To source, organise, attend and report back on O2 Open Events,
To own digital media campaigns
To ensure that the visual presentation of all stores represents the brand image across all avenues of advertising, market, social media campaigns and support operational activity
To ensure the smooth delivery of all campaigns including end to end plans and measures,
To encourage managers to identify trends and make suggestions to improve and enhance performance,
To encourage colleagues to seek and continuously develop knowledge of competitor activity and local market conditions, with the purpose of making appropriate and innovative recommendations to drive the business forward,
Ensure that secure feedback, testimonials and case study material for future promotional activities are recorded,
To maintain and update with news and events the company website through using WordPress,
To ensure adequate stock levels are appropriate for intended events,
To keep all partners up to date with budget information and ideas to ensure a consistent approach across the business,
To link in with local existing events ensuring a strong store presence,
To ensure successes are celebrated and learning opportunities are shared,
To undertake any other reasonable duties as requested
