In 2018 DIB celebrates its 25th year of supporting people in the local community of East Cheshire. Over that time the world around us has changed so much and we’ve always been flexible to ensure that those that need our help the most get that help. We have supported people with physical disabilities, poor mental health, learning disabilities and those who have needed help navigating the system so they get access to the help they need. DIB also provides the Shopmobility service for Macclesfield.
The public sector continues to look at how they manage and deliver services within an ever-tighter budget and we recognise the impact this has on us as a charity. We want to be around for another 25 years – and beyond – so now is the time for us to embrace all the exciting opportunities there are to be explored in seeking to raise funds and donations from across the community that we have been dedicated to for a quarter of a century. This is why we have committed to creating this new post at DIB – that of Community Fundraising Manager.
The ideal candidate will be able to show us how they have secured grants from small trusts, delivered fundraising events and secured individual and corporate support. Having additional, unrestricted and a more diverse range of income will help us work with the public sector, other charities and organisations to continue to be a positive part of the solution for our community.
The closing date for applications is midday on Friday 29th June.
