Residential Children's Worker - Telford
You must have previous PAID UK experience working in a children's/young person residential setting.
Most importantly you will have a genuine interest in working with young people, willing to engage with them and be involved in a range of activities and interests that the girls enjoy. Enabling the girls to achieve and to do this they need the support of the care team, encouraging and helping them, building confidence and self-esteem. If you would like to be part of the young persons success and can use your skills and enthusiasm to set boundaries, challenge unacceptable behaviour, develop the young person's social and independent skills, be a role model and provide a nurturing environment in which the girls can feel safe and supported I would like to hear from you.
You will be working The Alternate Week Shift pattern. This pattern involves working for 7 days including sleep ins/on call, followed by a week off shift.
This position involves occasional travelling to various locations to take the service users to appointments etc.
