ABOUT US
As the UK's largest woodland conservation charity, our vision is a UK rich in native woods and trees, for people and wildlife. Protecting, restoring and creating woodland is at the heart of what we do. If you are a talented, creative individual who can help us inspire and engage people with our vision, we would love to hear from you!

THE ROLE
The Woodland Trust is on the hunt for a talented Web Designer who can take our exciting brand and apply that to our digital estate. The Web Designer will lead in everything from social media, digital marketing and press ads, to major appeals and collateral for our visitors, supporters and members.

THE CANDIDATE
The successful candidate will possess hands on experience in web design, be passionate about good ideas as well as a natural flair for creativity and innovation. You'll also possess a keen understanding of UX and how this feeds into your role.

The Web Designer will be an expert in InDesign, Photoshop and have experience of developing ideas for all different channels both on and offline. You'll also have a good level of experience using the Adobe Creative Suite. Previous experience with HTML, CSS and web standards would be an advantaged but is not essential.

As the Web Designer you will need to be organised and an effective communicator who can confidently re-enforce brand direction through their digital work. You will be able to articulate ideas clearly and concisely while influencing other teams/departments to go with the most effective idea. The chosen candidate will be comfortable mentoring and coaching others in certain areas of web design.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
There's no other organisation like the Woodland Trust. Whatever you do here you will be supporting our work standing up for woods and trees. In return, we recognise and value our people. You'll have our full support, training and opportunities for professional development, along with a contributory pension, life assurance and good holiday entitlement
