OVERVIEW
• GBP25,000 - GBP27,000 PA.
• Permanent position.
• Based in the Mansfield NG19 area.
THE COMPANY
An exciting opportunity has arisen at a Mansfield based company who specialise in Press Tools.
This company has been at the forefront of manufacturing for over 36 years, from customer projects and ideas, through to design, development, manufacture, to initial samples and ultimately production of components.
WORKING HOURS
Monday - Friday: 08:00 - 16:30
THE JOB
• Manual and NC milling and turning, EDM Spark, grinding & Wire machines.
• Manufacture of new and refurbishment of press tools, production tooling/jigs and fixtures.
• Repair and maintain press tools.
• Routine servicing and regrinding of tools.
• Report any equipment faults and concerns to management.
• Identify and escalate any activity that has the potential to cause harm or damage.
• Ensure all work is undertaken to a high-quality standard and adheres to all quality standard regulations.
• Ensure company targets are met in respect of quality of parts produced
• Identify spares requirements and log usage.
• Take ownership of smaller less complex specific tool suite to develop and maintain performance with minimal supervision.
• (An ability to) Operate Fork Lift Truck and lifting equipment (would be useful)
• Support new and existing project tooling from commissioning stages through to production.
• Manufacture new tooling and ancillary spares to support production activity and customer deadlines.
• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance.
• Carry out engineering level changes to tools and modifications.
THE PERSON
• Must have previous experience in Press Toolmaking.
• Must have the ability to work effectively as an individual and as part of a team.
• Must be able to work to own initiative.
• Must be an organised and punctual individual.
