Support Worker needed for a temporary to permanent contract in Bristol

Your new company

You will be joining a local supported housing provider who provides support to vulnerable service users. This organisation promotes independence and really focuses on improving service users lives.

Your new role

You will be working as a support worker on a full time basis for a 3 month temporary contract with the opportunity to go permanent after. As a support worker you will be providing floating support across the Bristol area carrying out support plans to service users who have a background in mental health and complex needs including homelessness, domestic violence and substance misuse. You will be supporting them to move on and promote independence. As a support worker you will be carrying out support plans, tenancy advice and housing management support. As a support worker you will respond to emergency and crisis situations by providing support, advice, signposting or direct interventions as necessary. As a support worker you will champion service user empowerment, encouraging the services on offer are accessible and relevant.

What you'll need to succeed

To be a successful support worker you must have working knowledge in supported housing and have working experience in complex needs. To be a successful support worker you must have strong knowledge in support plans, be able to communicate with different backgrounds and be passionate about helping people. You must have access to a car and have a clean driving license. Furthermore, as you are working with vulnerable people you must have a DBS or have the documents to produce a DBS on your behalf.
