A well established large organization is recruiting for Support Workers for their Supportive Living Service in Trowbridge, Wiltshire. You will be working with 5 clients with a supporting living service but you with work more closely with 2 Gentleman who live in a shared 2 bed Bungalow.
Main Job Role:
- Support the clients with everyday duties i. cooking, cleaning, laundry, shopping etc
- Accompany them out in the community and on appoints / visits
- Both clients go out on a daily basis and they have their own vehicle which staff will drive for them
Client 1: Young person who has Cerebral Palsy and Physical Disabilities
- Requires 2-2-1 support (receives 24 hour support daily)
- Has physical disabilities and is wheelchair based
- Needs help with feeding and communication
- Full personal care will be required
Client 2: Adult who has complex needs, epilepsy and Dandy-Walker Syndrome
- Requires 1-2-1 support (receives 24 hour support daily)
- Very active gentleman who likes to get out and about
- Will need support in all aspects of care
- No personal care required
Contract / Terms:
- Salary is £8,933 - £16,527 per annum = £8 an hour
- 20 to 37 hours a week, Monday to Fridays with alternative weekends
- Shifts will be between 7am - 10pm
Qualifying Candidates:
- Must have a clean driving license
- Experienced support / care worker with Mental Health or Learning disabilities or experience / training with peg feed & suction
