A well established Education and Residential Children Service are now recruiting for Senior Support Workers (shift leaders) for their 4 bed residential Children Homes in Warminster, Wiltshire. You will be supporting 11 to 18 year olds who have come from neglected backgrounds, abandonment, traumatic situations, complex needs, mental health and EBD who will display extreme challenging behaviour.

Main Job Role:
- Lead the shifts and be one of the main points of contact
- This is a very challenging role as most clients will be very hard to work with (not listen, ignore instructions and become rude / abusive)
- Setting boundaries and managing their behaviours will be your main duties
- As a profession parent, you will offer therapeutic and emotional support
- Work together as a team to help get them up in the mornings and put them to bed at night
- Help preparing meals (Breakfast, dinner and lunch)
- Support them in daily 121 and/or group activities
- Shift handovers: you will feedback any reports & incidents occurred during your shift to the new staff

Qualifying candidates:
- Must have previous senior / team leader experience or someone who has temporarily stepped into these roles
- Looking for strong, firm and resilient candidates who can set boundaries
- Must be a car driver with your own car and a manual driving license
- Must be over the age of 23 years old
- To get the higher end of the salary, you MUST have a qualification to work in children residential care home. We accept the following qualifications: Diploma / NVQ / QCF level 3 in:
* Children & Young People's Workforce
* Health & Social Care in Children
* Health & Social Care in Social Care Pathway
* Caring for children & young people
* Residential childcare
WE DO NOT accept Health and social care in Adults.

Contract / Terms:
- Salary including sleeps is £22,888 - £23,581 per annum = £8 - £9 an hour
- Level 3 qualified candidates will be on £18,648 base salary (£8 an hour)
- Unqualified candidates will be on £19,341 base salary (£9 an hour)
- Sleep-ins are paid at £4,240 per annum
- Shift patterns are 10am - 10:30am (24 hour shift) which includes a sleepin
- You will work 10 shifts per month on a 3 week rolling rota as followed:
WEEK 1: Monday, Wednesday and Saturday
WEEK 2: Tuesday, Friday and Sunday
WEEK 3: Thursday only
