Children Support Workers (Extremely Challenging)

A well established Education and Residential Children Service are now recruiting for Support Workers for their 4 bed residential Children Homes in Warminster, Wiltshire. You will be supporting 11 to 18 year olds who have come from neglected backgrounds, abandonment, traumatic situations, complex needs, mental health and EBD who will display extreme challenging behaviour.

Main Job Role:
- This is a very challenging role as most clients will be very hard to work with (not listen, ignore instructions and become rude / abusive)
- Setting boundaries and managing their behaviours will be your main duties
- As a profession parent, you will offer therapeutic and emotional support
- Work together as a team to help get them up in the mornings and put them to bed at night
- Help preparing meals (Breakfast, dinner and lunch)
- Support them in daily 121 and/or group activities
- Shift handovers: you will feedback any reports & incidents occurred during your shift to the new staff

Qualifying candidates:
- Have life, paid, personal or voluntary experience in care (any setting / sector)
- Looking for strong, firm and resilient candidates who can set boundaries
- Must be a car driver with your own car and a manual driving license
- Must be over the age of 23 years old

Contract / Terms:
- Salary including sleeps is £22,468 per annum = £8 an hour (£18,228 base salary)
- Sleep-ins are paid at £4,240 per annum (already included in the salary)
- Shift patterns are 10am - 10:30am (24 hour shift) which includes a sleepin
- You will work 10 shifts per month on a 3 week rolling rota as followed:
WEEK 1: Monday, Wednesday and Saturday
WEEK 2: Tuesday, Friday and Sunday
WEEK 3: Thursday only
