AND

Are you looking to take the next step in your career?

If the answer is YES then look no further - this FANTASTIC opportunity could be for you

BS Social Care is a national organisation, specialising in the recruitment of professionals within the Health and Social Care sector. We are currently working alongside a specialist provider of residential Childcare and Education services in their recruitment of experienced Senior Residential Children's Workers.

You will join a highly reputable Health and Social Care provider who have gained significant reward and recognition from external organisations such as OFSTED for the level of care they deliver. They deliver independent care and support, within a residential and respite setting, for children and young adults with learning disabilities/physical disabilities, autism, epilepsy, challenging behaviour and complex needs.

The Senior role is to support the House Manager in providing the best quality childcare in a safe and care focussed environment for the young people. When on shift you will have initial responsibilities for monitoring, and supervision of staff, and take responsibility for the day to day management, and guidance of colleagues whilst ensuring the welfare and care of the young people.

You will be expected to demonstrate practical leadership in childcare, as well as organise and support staff, to provide the best possible care for each child and young person. This involves being personally available, as well as the supervision and mentoring of staff, organisation of work patterns, facilitation of care focussed training, and accessing of appropriate services to support the childcare practices within the service.

The successful candidate will have:

- NVQ Level 3 in Children & Young People

- Minimum 3 years experience in a senior role supporting children & young adults with learning disabilities or challenging behaviour

- At least 3 years experience working in a similar setting within residential care
