We currently have an opportunity for a Specialist Works Manager to join our team based in London Bridge.

Within this role, you will coordinate the Mears supply chain for the Managed Service at Wandle, including provision of contractors for specific work types or to support the Wandle Direct workforce.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will monitor and allocate work to subcontractors within the Wandle geographical contract area undertaking any property visits as required.

Ensuring that all subcontractors provide regular updates on work order progression, you will monitor progress and completion of contractor work orders within the requirements of the managed service specification.

You will also be expected, to take responsibility for managing the Wandle fleet, servicing, MOTs, van breakdowns and vehicle accident, including insurance claims.

In order to be successful, you will have previous experience in a similar role including knowledge of Repairs Maintenance, measured term contracts and schedule of rates.  With experience of working in Social Housing, you will have experience of supervising Sub Contractors and contract administration.

Although not essential, experience of working in partnership with a Local Authority Client, with management experience in a similar operation, would be beneficial.  A Trade City & Guilds qualification would also be an advantage.

Candidates for this role must hold a full valid UK driving licence
