Furniture Production Engineer

A rare opportunity has arisen to join one of the largest and commercial furniture manufacturers in the UK, working with the most high profile blue chip companies in the world. As a manufacturer of high quality upholstered and timber-based furniture, our client needs a new member to enhance and support the technical aspects within the team.

Your main roles and responsibilities will be:

Generate detailed production drawings/specifications for in-house and external manufacture.

Ensure technical files are maintained and updated when existing products are changed or new products are launched.

Support the manufacturing team in the identification and resolution of existing product issues, ensuring a clear transfer of information.

Support the design team in the development of new products, improvements and bespoke projects.
Support sales representatives and clients in technical related queries

Liaise with suppliers in the development of externally produced items and rectify any non-conformance issues.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills:

Fluency in 2D & 3D CAD software (Solidworks preferred)

Excellent communication, interpersonal and team working skills

Demonstrate high levels of commitment, attention to detail and follow-up

Organised and self-motivated with a diligent, disciplined approach towards document management and project deadlines

Able to prioritise and manage multiple projects at any one time, maintaining a proactive and positive attitude towards problem solving.

As well as this, you would also have experience of furniture making and timber work, experience in a design or manufacturing role and knowledge of CNC programming.
