Business Operations Manager
Hours: 37.5 per week
Salary: Starting at £33,082 – £35,067 per annum upon successful completion of the probationary period

Our client has grown and developed greatly over the years and is a far cry from the small garage where it all began. Our client now has 17 projects covering Catering, Horticulture, Retail, ICT, Woodwork, Pottery, Creative Choices and Card Making and Life Skills.

The projects are located around Cardiff, Newport, Caerphilly, the Vale of Glamorgan and Blaenau Gwent. It has also introduced Creative Choices holiday workshops through the half term and holiday periods, as well as an early evening art club for 14 to 18 year olds with learning needs at Sbectrwm in Fairwater.

About the role
The Business Operations Manager will be responsible for managing the business activities and the performance of the Operational Managers and ensuring that the management information, budgeting and the planning requirements of the strategic plan are embedded and delivered across the organisation and that its Operational Management team is supported to achieve the project specific strategic aims.

About you
This role calls for a broad business experience, including an understanding of planning and project management, staff development, an understanding of strategies and knowledge of developing and monitoring budgets, project plans, business plans and risks. The role requires excellent people skills and the ability to think strategically, as well as exceptional planning, organising and communication skills.
You will be able to work both independently and as an active member of the Senior and Operational management teams, to deliver within a diverse workforce.

Educated to degree level or with a similar level of experience you will have a proven track record of undertaking analysis and driving activity through others. Your planning and project management skills will be backed up by a good understanding of business systems and processes that need to be in place to deliver on-target budgets and successful projects
