An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Grounds Maintenance Operative to join us in Didcot, Harwell.  This is a full time role for 40 hours per week.

Within this role, you will provide a grounds maintenance service to various sites and locations as required.  This will include: operation of grass cutting machinery, maintenance of shrub beds and planted areas, weed control operations, hedge cutting operations, assistance with maintenance of high profile grounds and gardens, Autumn leaf clearance and delivery of landscaping project works as part of a team.

In order to be successful in this role, it is essential that you have appropriate experience of working in the external environment along with the ability to demonstrate an understanding of the skills, technology and safety procedures required to carry out the full range of tasks.  You should also have the ability to understand and interpret work instructions, drawings and technical specifications.

Although not essential, experience of the grounds maintenance industry and relevant training such as PA1/PA6 would be beneficial.  Competence in the use of grounds maintenance machinery such as mowing equipment, strimmers and hedgecutters would also be an advantage.
