Experience is preferred, but not necessary as full training will be provided.
Your shifts will be interesting and varied as you assist residents in a variety of daily tasks and activities - providing them with personal choice wherever possible and helping to maintain their individual lifestyle preferences. In addition, night carers will also assist residents at bedtimes and throughout the night, and carry out domestic tasks around the home.
You will be joining a team that delivers high quality person-centred care to people living with dementia and related mental health needs. As part of your role you will be encouraging and empowering residents to be individuals, to be active and involved, and to retain interests and hobbies as far as possible. To achieve this, you will utilise their individually tailored Care Plans to help establish the social, emotional, physical and spiritual needs of each resident. Ensuring that all daily care records are updated and are accurate and legible.
We strongly believe in developing the skills of our staff and offer an extensive range of training courses.
Essential requirements:
Full training will be provided, but experience and Diploma Level 2 (Dementia Pathway) would be beneficial
