Our client, a Fire & Rescue service, is looking for an experienced communicator to join its multi award-winning corporate communication team based at Command Headquarters in Sheffield.
Location: Sheffield, S1
Hours: Full Time - 37 Hours per week
Work Pattern: Flexi Time
Salary: £27,668 – £30,153 (Grade 7)
The overall purpose of the role will be to research, design, develop, implement and evaluate community safety campaigns which improve public safety, reduce emergency incidents, or achieve other important objectives for the service.
Reporting to the Corporate Communication Manager, you will also help to supervise the day-to-day operations of the team, including acting as a main contact for journalists, overseeing the delivery of the service’s digital media channels, upholding brand values and promoting internal and external recognition of successes and excellence achieved across the service.
The successful applicant will have excellent writing skills and knowledge of using the right communication channels to reach the right audiences. You will also be part of the 24/7 duty press officer system which attracts stand-by payments for each shift covered.
