Rooftop’s mission is to improve the quality of life of people and the communities in which they live. Today Rooftop’s role in providing new homes and investing in communities is more important than ever before.
We are currently recruiting for an Outreach Support Worker to provide support and advise young people who are at risk of being homeless, are homeless or have recently been allocated a tenancy agreement. You will develop their confidence, empower them to have their say and raise their awareness of the opportunities available.
You will carry out support sessions on a one to one or on a group basis regularly, ensure that young people’s ideas, thoughts and feedback are recorded and responded to and undertake a full assessment of young people needs, risks and aspirations to the scheme.
Our ideal candidate will have English and maths at GCSE level or equivalent. Relevant paid or voluntary experience of working with young people including housing advice, advocacy work or residential work is essential. You will have good IT skills using Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Word and Excel. You must have a full and current driving licence, and daily use of a car insured for business purposes.
