My client is a construction contractors based in Essex and they are actively looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team. My client is now looking for a Quantity Surveyor as they are really increasing their workload and require a motivated and knowledgeable QS to assist with this.
The company operate in a real range of sectors including Commercial, Education, Industrial, Health and Care, Private and Social Housing, Retail and Public sectors. The company are proving themselves to be a strong versatile contractors undertaking maintenance, refurbishment, fit outs and new build projects. The projects really range in value beginning with small works from GBP50,000 through to larger projects at GBP5,000,000. The company are seeking a Quantity Surveyor with a good range of experience who is looking for a long term role. A construction related degree is sought after but not essential. The company specialise in delivering high quality projects across London and the Home Counties for public and private sector clients so a Quantity Surveyor who is fine with travelling around these locations is a must.
My client has a 5-year expansion strategy planned to achieve a consistent annual turnover of GBP30 million which really showcases my client's ambition and the opportunities available to the successful Quantity Surveyor.
Quantity Surveyor Position Overview
* Site duties and progress reports
* Agreeing on variations with clients
* Review drawing revisions; measure and cost
* Attend site and periodic site progress meetings
* Assist with sub-contract orders and help manage sub-contractor accounts
* Liaise with all levels of the wider construction and professional team, including clients
* Work closely with the Site Manager to reduce costs, aid efficiency, and maximise profits
* Other duties to be discussed
Quantity Surveyor Position Requirements
* Construction related degree ideally Quantity Surveying
* Strong experience within a similar position
* Happy with travelling across London and Home Counties
* Strong Communication skills
