Job Title: Production Shift Manager
Location: Kettering, Northamptonshire
Salary: GBP25,000 - GBP26,000
Hours: Monday - Friday, shift rotation
Our well established Kettering based client are looking for 2 Shift Managers to join their team on a full time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will be experienced in a Production environment, leading teams and driving continuous improvement.
Duties:
Accomplishes manufacturing results by communicating job expectations/targets for the whole shift. Coaching, counselling and disciplining employees, initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies and procedures
Maintains work flow by monitoring steps of the process, observing control points and equipment, monitoring personnel and resources, implementing cost reductions
Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel, accomplishing work results, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, resolving problems and reporting results
Ability to apply improvement tools within the shift when needed, using things such as SMED, Std work, OSW and OEE. Problem solving at shift level and if the problem cannot be resolved using escalation process to escalate problems by using 5 why techniques or PDCA.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of the control points, equipment and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures
