Purpose of job To provide IT Training to new and existing staff in accordance with BCLP training outlines. To contribute to the increased efficiency and quality of the IT support service. What's in it for you? To be a key member of the team contributing to all aspects of IT training in an international firm. The role will be wide ranging including creating documentation, delivering courses to trainees, associates, partners and secretaries globally. Key responsibilities • Deliver weekly induction courses to all new joiners. • Run scheduled classroom courses for all staff. • Confident to deliver desk side, workgroup meetings and large presentation style training sessions. • Provide extended early morning or evening support/training, as required. • Provide remote training to BCLP International offices using Skype for Business or VMR (Virtual Meeting Room). • Conduct pre and post administration including Outlook and LMS (Kallidus) management and reporting. • Write and update training manuals and hand-outs. • Participate in specific projects as directed, e.g. product evaluation. Key relationships The team consists of a training manager, a senior trainer and an trainer. The team works closely with all areas of the IT department, plus business managers and KDLs (Knowledge Development Lawyers) to help design and deliver the right learning to the firm. Experience and knowledge At least three years training experience in a legal environment would be essential. Skills and competencies General: • Proven track record of training experience within a commercial legal environment. • Willingness and ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team to see tasks through to completion. Technical: • TAP qualified in training delivery. • Advanced knowledge and experience in training Microsoft Office 2010 suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio and Project. MOS Expert certification preferred (2010 or 2016). • Document management system - iManage Desksite and Filesite. • Time Recording applications - Intapp Time and Elite (Webview). • InterAction Web and Windows CRM system. • Bighand digital dictation. • Nuance PDF Convertor. • Workshare Professional. • Remote access including virtual PCs, iPhone and iPad. • Experience of a learning management system. Personal: • Must be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. • Should display a professional, positive and flexible approach to their work. • Should actively collaborate and share knowledge with the rest of the team.
