The Fragrance Shop is the UK's leading independent fragrance retailer. We employ over 1400 people in over 220 stores across the UK and Manchester Head Office. The Fragrance Shop is continuing to increase both its product range and its retail footprint including its online presence.

You will be responsible for the recruitment of new talent whilst managing internal talent and maintaining a balance between the two activities. As a new role within the HR team you will working with senior stakeholders to understand the current business challenges and context whilst designing and implementing a range of suitable solutions. This role requires expertise of recruitment and talent management in a fast paced retail environment, where value for money and lean processes are a key part of the business success. You will need to be ambitious, resilient, proactive and driven to achieve results, personally, for the benefit of the team and the business.

Responsibilities:
• Understand the business context and challenges in which you are working so that solutions you offer are appropriate for both the business.
• Design and implement a recruitment framework to be delivered across the business.
• Understand the current talent within the business and identify strategies to retain and maximise the impact of the talent whilst working with the training managers to ensure that development is suitable and the strategies are aligned.
• Working with the training team to design and deliver training to all recruiting managers to embed good practise.
• Manage specific high volume recruitment campaigns in readiness for the Christmas sales period.
• Work with teams across the business to ensure that there is a strong 'brand' to back all campaigns. (Marketing & PR, User Experience and Commercial). Brands include: The Fragrance Shop, Indulge Fragrances, Indulge Prive, Per-Scent.
• Create and manage attraction campaigns using a range of sources including social media platforms, database search, direct advertising, job boards etc
• Work as part of the HR Technology Project to ensure that the solutions provides suitable capabilities for recruitment and talent management.
• Work with key stakeholders across the group identifying recruitment needs and prioritising as appropriate.
• Work with teams across the business to design an on boarding process to support the retention and employee engagement strategy. (Business Teams, User experience, IT and Payroll).
• Reduce number of new hire leavers under 2 years' service across the group

Experience/Skills:
* The suitable candidate will have a minimum of five years experience either as an established internal recruiter or a recruitment consultant who has been involved in influencing the strategy or recruitment policy within previous organisations.
* The ability to understand the business context and recruitment market and design and advise on appropriate solutions.
* A proven track record of managing high volume recruitment and delivery on hard to fill roles
* Proven track record of ensuring recruitment targets are consistently met
* Experience of using a variety of media for candidate generation - online /social media
Experience of working within the retail or multi-site environment would be advantageous.
Ability to work under pressure, consistently meeting targets in a high speed fast paced environment - essential
