I am recruiting on behalf of a client of mine, for a Contact Centre Assistant Manager to join their Birmingham Team.

My client is a market-leading not-for-profit provider of health insurance. You will be managing the Direct Sales Team at their offices located just on the outskirts of Birmingham City Centre.

The Direct Sales Team's key objective is to increase the recovery of lapsed policyholders via proactive sales techniques. And the purpose of your role as Assistant Manager is to manage and assist the operational effectiveness of the team.

Your responsibilities will include:
-To leads, develop and motivate the Direct Sales team ensuring that service and sales targets are achieved;

-Provides 1-2-1 coaching and counselling for team members in developing skills, product knowledge and resolving issues as they arise;

-Capitalises on any cross and up-selling opportunities via incoming and outgoing calls and following up mail shots;

As Assistant Manger you will have extensive outbound/telesales experience in a B2C environment. You must have significant Call Centre Team leading experience in managing an outbound service and sales team in order to achieve multiple KPI's

You will demonstrate excellent communication skills, particularly on the phone and have a high degree of professionalism. You will need to be proactive and driven to deliver outstanding results.
Possessing strong IT (Microsoft, Outlook etc) and administration skills, you will have the ability to organise and analyse workload to drive productivity. Essential to have 5 GCSE's / equivalent including Maths & English at grade C & above

Working hours are 12pm - 8pm Mon - Thurs and 8 - 4 on Fridays.

Salary offered £25,000- £28,000 and BONUS +£8-10k
