Pivotal Energy has been successfully operating in the utilities installation business for over 7 years.

In February 2011 Clive Coverson and Brian Popplestone founded Pivotal Energy to initially operate installing gas mains, services and meters to new industrial, commercial and domestic properties.

During the following two years Pivotal Energy started installing electricity and water to suitable developments and this is now an integral part of the business.

Pivotal Energy sub contract the physical installation works and then project manage all aspects of the installation to ensure coordination of the various utility works.

Following the initial contact with the customer to ascertain the exact requirements for the development Pivotal develop the initial operational design. This design takes a holistic approach ensuring that the customer’s overall project is the most important factor. From that design the appropriate commercial solution is created and subsequently a fixed price quotation for the complete utility works is produced.

On acceptance of the quotation a dedicated project manager, who was also involved in the initial investigation, assessment and quotation, is appointed as the customer’s single point of contact.

This project manager will then manage the installation of the utilities from the formal design to the completed installation and both operational and project closedown.

Project Manager Applicant Competencies

Our continuing success means Pivotal now has opportunities for up to three new Project Managers.

Training and side by side support will be available.

The applicants for these roles need to be able to work without supervision, have good logical ability, excellent communications skills, be resilient, capable of overcoming problems, computer literate particularly in Microsoft Office, able to work in a structured fashion.

Most importantly the successful candidate(s) need to be highly professional but able to enjoy themselves and be a good team player in a small but growing team.

These are envisaged to be full time roles, (37.5 hours per week), normally 08:45 to 17:00, but we are willing to talk to and be flexible for suitable candidates who may need to work less, or alternative, hours to this.

Pivotal offers very competitive rates of pay but exact details will be discussed and agreed with candidates at interview. These will be dependent upon experience and demonstrated competency to fulfil the role requirements.

Incentive Scheme

An attractive and achievable incentive scheme, based on sales and project completion targets, is also in place to further increase the income from these roles.

Details will be provided to candidates at interview stage.

Expenses

If there is a need to travel to development sites or customer’s premises then Pivotal will pay expenses. The rate will be 45p per mile based on the successful candidates using their own vehicle.
