Wing Leader: Full-Time
St Vincent’s Nursing Home, a registered charity, is a 60-bed facility over four Wings, caring for elderly people and offering nursing, residential, dementia and end-of-life care.
The Home also supports provision for the spiritual needs of residents and has its own Chapel where Mass is celebrated daily. Some residents are from Catholic orders and some are of other religions or of none.
The post holder will lead a team and be responsible for the clinical management of residents, assessing care needs and planning, implementing and evaluating programmes of care. They will be expected to carry out all relevant forms of care and will be designated regularly to take charge of the Nursing Home in the absence of the Matron.
They must be RGN Level 1 qualified with current registration and PIN number. Experience of care of the elderly is essential and the successful candidate must have the ability to work within and lead a multi-disciplinary team to ensure that all care delivered is evidence-based and of a high standard, being within current accepted practice to meet resident needs in an holistic manner.
Experience in nursing interventions (eg venepuncture, male catheterisation) would be desirable.
They will be able to demonstrate the leadership and developmental skills required for the management and supervision of a team within a high quality care home setting.
Starting pay will be in the region of £32,800 dependent on duty rosters with contributory pension scheme.
