Quality Engineer

Our client is a British collaboration between vehicle specialists Van-Sport and motorsport legend Malcolm Wilson. Thery fuse tough and reliable Ford vehicles with a sporting edge. Each created by hand. They are currently looking for a Quality Engineer in Pontypool

Knowledge and experience of:

  • Managing a BS EN ISO 9001 or ISO/TS16949 system
  • Carrying out all duties in support of the companies Quality Management System.
  • Key quality techniques
  • Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)
  • Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
  • Must be proficient in Flow analysis, FMEA, Control Plans, SOP's

There will be a requirement for written reports, and providing analysis of customer and internal concerns. You must be organised and disciplined with the ability to work efficiently under pressure, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Good time management skills, and able to prioritise targets is essential.

Change control and the attention to detail within this area is of paramount importance.

To manage calibration activity of all equipment.

Experience of conducting internal audits, preferably within an automotive environment.
Producing monthly KPI reports.
Good IT skills.
To develop and support the systems and co-ordinate the activities required for approvals, audits and any relevant regulatory requirements of external bodies.
To conduct root cause analysis, SPC and other appropriate quality tools and techniques to ensure that the manufacturing processes meet customer requirements.

This position will report directly to the Production Manager.
