Reporting to: Student Voice Manager

Responsible for: No management responsibilities

Our ‘Student Voice Coordinator’ is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is passionate about delivering effective representation for students, whilst providing direct support for our Officer Team and Student Representatives.

At Staffordshire University Students’ Union we have a diverse student population that is represented via a variety of mechanisms. These include Academic Representatives, ‘Better Staffs Forums’, student led Representative Networks and Student Representative Council. Alongside connecting with these groups, the successful candidate will take a focus on - and show a passion for - supporting our Officer Team with their day-to-day work schedules, key events & relationships and impact campaigns in order to achieve their manifesto aims and strategic goals.

As well as creating innovative ideas to source feedback from members, the post holder will need great organisational and interpersonal skills and will be committed to supporting other democratic and governance operations, such as the Leadership Race and our annual members' meeting.

As with all roles at Staffordshire University Students’ Union the post holder must have a flexible approach to work and be willing to help and support across the Union to achieve a number of core strategic objectives.

The Union operates annualised hours contracts. Over a year the post holder will work 1687 hours and have 244 hours holiday which is equivalent to 7 weeks.
