Our client has an extensive network of 18 manufacturing facilities in the UK, employing approximately 1,800 people.
They are a leading manufacturer of a diverse and trusted range of concrete and clay building products used extensively within the construction sector, with instantly recognisable brands such as Thermalite blocks, London Brick, Ecostock, Cradley, Formpave and Jetfloor, and Bison Precast.
Their product range comprises of clay bricks, Thermalite blocks, aggregate blocks, Red Bank chimney, roofing and flue systems, precast concrete and flooring products and Formpave permeable paving.
They represent exactly what they do and have always done. Their purpose is to manufacture products that are the essential to the nation’s construction sector, helping their customers build with ease and confidence. Moreover, they continue to lead their industry in terms of standards and safety.
The Role
As one of their Operations Graduates, you will gain a broad understanding of the operational aspects of their manufacturing business through a series of secondments on key sites and within functions over a period of 18 - 24 months.
You will learn and report how the site functions from the factory floor to operational management level, playing a key part in the implementation of key projects and working towards fulfilling the objectives of the operational sites. They’ll also expect you to complete business projects throughout the process, implementing the knowledge and experience gained during the placements.
The Candidate
This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate who is looking to start a career in a manufacturing industry which has a high reliance on engineering and manufacturing excellence! All that they ask is that you hold a Degree in an Engineering or Operational Management discipline and can be pro-active, taking accountability for any projects and tasks that you are assigned. You’ll need to possess excellent IT skills, have strong presentation skills and be able to communicate with staff at all levels.
You will also need to hold a full UK driving licence and be flexible and willing to travel to various sites across the UK.
