Assistant Accountant
Salary: £26,470 to £30,756 per annum
Contract: Permanent, full time
Location: County Hall, Exeter EX2 4QD
We are seeking an experienced finance officer to support the delivery of externally funded projects and provide financial support to the Communities, Public Health, Environment and Prosperity directorate.
The post holder will be required to liaise with diverse partner organisations, funding bodies and auditors as well as internal stakeholders. Responsibilities include the establishment and management of grant claim processes, reviewing and advising on spending eligibility and the production of monitoring statements.
Working with externally funded projects requires not only excellent technical financial knowledge but also good process, organisational and communication skills. Previous experience would be an advantage but is not essential. The financial support provision will include financial planning, budget monitoring, closure of accounts and transactional processing.
