Our client is a leading energy and services group employing 20,000 people in the UK. The business has well-established and diverse operations that span the exploration and production of gas and oil; on-shore gas storage; generating power as one of the UK’s largest independent power producers; providing power and gas to thousands of business; and delivering services to more than 14,000 customer sites across the public and private sector.
The objective of their Enterprise Energy sales team is to significantly grow their direct sales capability, with ambitious targets to increase the number of customers acquired directly from 5% to 50% of the Enterprise portfolio over the next five years.
As their Direct Sales Channel Manager, you will work with the Enterprise Energy Sales Director to grow the direct sales channel, initially managing and developing their internal telesales team and to work with external parties to deliver the required sales targets. You will provide input on wider strategic sales matters in relation to the Enterprise Energy Direct Sales Strategy, working closely with the Enterprise Energy marketing team to develop appropriate sales channels and products, and provide daily, weekly and monthly reporting to the Enterprise Energy Sales Director and Sales Management Group board covering all aspects of Direct Sales team performance.
Their Direct Sales Channel Manager should be educated to Degree level (or equivalent) and have significant sales management experience to include managing a telesales team and external telesales providers. With excellent analytical skills and the ability to resolve complex issues, you will be capable of managing customer relationships and have extensive and well-developed experience of sales techniques and optimisation, across a wide variety of sales segments. Knowledge and experience of the UK Energy Market is preferred but not essential.
