Our client are a market leader in their industry with sites across the world. They are looking for a maintenance engineer to join the team.
Key Responsibilities
To attend and rectify breakdowns/problems on the following equipment:
-Injection moulding machines
-Tool water temperature controllers
-Hydraulics & pneumatics
-Granulators
-Conveyors
-Water heaters
-Automated packaging lines and associated equipment
-Printers and label applicators
-End of line boxing cells
-Beam robots and sprue pickers
-6 Axis robots
-Material feed systems and blenders
-Moulding machine services
-Able to integrate well within a team and achieve results
-Able to remain calm and maintain high standards of work in a pressurised and time critical environment
-Excellent trouble shooting and analytical skills
-Able to work on own initiative - identifies solutions to problems and recommends improvements
-Highly self-motivated - requires minimal supervision and is able to plan own workload to meet the needs of the business
-Ability to read electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic drawings
-Awareness of safety regulations and CE regulations•Previous experience in a plastic injection moulding environment
-Knowledge of maintaining, repairing, stopping and re-starting Arburg, BMB and Netstal plastic injection moulding machines
-PLC programming and diagnostics - Mitsubishi, Siemens and Omron. Need to understand ladder logic and be able to fault find using the PLC programme
To safely stop machines and successfully re-start on completion of maintenance work, ensuring that product is being made to the required quality. To also ensure that automation equipment is function correctly and packing product to the required standard.
Pay Details
Salary: Grade 1 - GBP29,530 + 15% Shift Allowance (GBP4,429) = GBP33,959 per annum
Grade 2 - GBP31,353 + 15% Shift Allowance (GBP4,702) = GBP36,056 per annum
Grade 3 - GBP33,003 + 15% Shift Allowance (GBP4,950) = GBP37,953 per annum
The grade will depend on skills / experience
Shift: Rotating days / nights (4 on 4 off - at 2 days and 2 nights rotation)
Hours: 7am to 7pm when on Days, and then 7pm to 7am when on nights.
Holidays: 22 Days per year plus bank holidays
Overtime: Available, paid at basic hourly rate.
Pension: Contributory Pension Scheme and Life Assurance
Bonus: Production Bonus Scheme
Education
A recognised apprenticeship in engineering (multi-skilled with an electrical bias)
Qualified to NVQ Level 3 as a minimum, an ONC would be a distinct advantage
Experienced with pneumatics and hydraulics
Knowledge of lean manufacturing
