Do you have a counter balance forklift licence? Looking to build on your warehousing, manufacturing, production line or factory experience? Experience in operating packing machines? If you’re looking for the opportunity to increase your skill-set, our client wants to hear from you. 

As a European leader, our client develops consumer products. They are now looking for a number of Production / Warehouse & Distribution / Machine Operatives to join their team. 

Within our client’s production facility, as a Production / Warehouse & Distribution / Machine Operative, you’ll process and package raw materials, ensuring you work to specified guidelines.

You’ll ensure site rules are adhered to, clean and tidy the work area, use mobile plant and machinery as required and undertake other operational processes as appropriate. 

Additionally, your duties will involve: 

- Stacking items on to pallets 
- Wrapping pallets for storage and removal 
- Ensuring that stock is not damaged 
- Assisting with preventative maintenance tasks 
- Communicating any problems to the Shift Leader 
- Undertaking warehouse operations, movements of pallets and storage of materials 
- Loading / unloading trailers with goods 
- Diligently following paperwork procedures 
- Interacting with distribution IT system for stock control 
- Assisting in management of storage and yard area standards to high level 
- Taking responsibility for packing line operation 
- Making inline adjustments to maintain productivity and quality 
- Making quality checks and document with running status 
- Fulfilling paperwork accurately and timely 
- Working alongside production and maintenance leaders to improve processes 

Interested? To be considered, you must have: 

- Experience in a warehousing, manufacturing, production line and/or factory environment 
- Basic IT skills (SAP would be desirable) 
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills 
- The willingness to work overtime at short notice / flexibility 
- Keen eye for detail and ability to learn quickly 

Alert and focused, as a Production Operative, you will have a strong work ethic, good communication skills and a positive, ‘can do’ attitude and be passionate about maintaining high standards. 

Experience of operating machinery would be beneficial to your application. Previous machine operator experience or mechanical training would also be advantageous. Previous warehouse & distribution in FMCG sector would be equally favourable, as would a counter balance fork truck licence
