Recovery Claims Handler - Tonbridge
My client are a leading motor insurance claims company based in Tonbridge, working on behalf of a market leader in the insurance industry.They require a Recovery Claims Handler to add to their team in Tonbridge.
Duties include providing customers with excellent customer service, being responsible for a portfolio of non-fault claims and ensuring a full recovery of costs whilst keeping customers updated. You will also need to collect evidence to support the liability decision and compose outlay documents.
Responsibilities:
-Keeping the customer updated on claims progress, providing excellent customer service.
-Recording investigations into liability accurately and tracing the negligent party's insurers.
-Assessing liability for an accident and offer guidance to customers, giving an opinion on prospects and advise customers on where liability may rest.
-Knowing when to issue proceedings or negotiate liability with the third party insurers.
-Identifying possible fraudulent claim makers and refer them for investigation.
-Instructing suppliers such as repairers, solicitors and car hire companies.
-Managing your portfolio of non-fault claims, ensuring that all SLA's are met and the AD aspect of a claim is concluded quickly.
Requirements:
-Ideally 6 months' experience working in the FNOL team for an insurer or motor claims handler.
-Good communication and written skills.
-Accuracy and attention to detail.
-Positive and self-confident approach when dealing with customers.
-Ability to utilize qualities such as empathy, assertiveness, tact and diplomacy when talking to customers.
-Understanding customers may be distraught and concerned following an accident.
-Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
-PC literate with good admin skills.
-Ability to take on increased ownership and responsibility when necessary.
