Trainer Facilitator – Adventure Sports – TF3
Salary: £9512 - £11,052 (Pro rata of £20,456 - £23,769)
Contract Type: 22 hours per week, 35 weeks per year (term time only) Fixed term until 24/05/2019

We are currently recruiting for a Trainer Facilitator in Adventure Sports for the 2018/19 academic year. The successful candidate will instruct/facilitate learning for students enrolled on a range of programmes as assigned by the Section Head. They will assess students as appropriate by formal or informal method as required by external examining bodies and internal procedures, and contribute to curriculum development and implementation of pastoral and welfare systems provided for students. They will also develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external customers, and continue personal development in subject areas and teaching methods.
You will hold National Governing Body Outdoor Education Qualifications such as Mountain Training RCI (SPA), ML, BCU L3 Canoe and Kayak, BC Coach award, as well as a range of both land and water based qualifications. A current first aid certificate and minibus driving licence are also required. You will have experience working in FE as well as outdoor education industry experience.
The ideal candidate will be computer literate, and be able to work unsupervised, having a logical approach to problem solving. You will be flexible, able to communicate with students of all age groups, and be willing to work unsociable hours, sometimes under pressure in a demanding environment.
