Employability Lecturer - British Sign Language

Coventry University Students' Union have an excellent opportunity for a talented, enthusiastic and flexible individual with either a teaching or training background who can teach British Sign Language (BSL) and support our Employability Department.

The role of an Employability (BSL) Lecturer will be assisting in the development, delivery and assessment of academic employability modules including, British Sign Language, and to source placements for Coventry University students.

You will hold a minimum of a Level 3 qualification in British Sign Language and recent teaching experience or significant training experience to a diverse range of people.  You will also have experience in developing partnerships within the community and the ability to maintain administrative systems, including the use of online teaching/training resources.

Together with your BSL qualification, you will hold a degree and a recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE or DET) or the Train the Trainer qualification with the willingness to work towards a teaching qualification in a specified timescale.

Finding the right person for this role is important to us, therefore this role can be full-time or part-time working on a permanent basis.
