We are urgently recruiting for Production Operatives & General Labourers to join an expanding pre-cast concrete facility that specialise in manufacturing fencing products and tunnel / shaft sections. Immediate starts and the opportunity of temp to perm employment is available for successful candidates.
As the Production Operative, you will be responsible for helping achieve production targets by following production line processes and quality standards in a heavy concrete finishing environment.
To be a successful Production Operative / General Labourer for our client, you will have the following skills and experience:
•Must have previous production operative / general labouring / construction / ground working experience or have a genuine desire to work in a hands-on factory based position.
•Must have strong practical skills as the duties may include using a shovel, trowel, mixers, measuring and cleaning equipment on a regular basis.
•Must speak, understand and read English language to a high standard.
You will be working a standard 40 hours per week on a flexible, 10-hour working day shift pattern that starts between 05:00 - 09:00, Monday to Friday. Due to the location of the manufacturing facility, candidates must have own transport as there are no public transport links.
In return, the Production Operative will receive basic hourly starting rate of GBP8.50 per hour that will increase to GBP9.14 per hour after the qualifying period. With overtime paid at time and one half over 40 hours per week, you will have the opportunity to earn GBP500 + per week in this position. If you are successful after 12 weeks, this position may also lead into permanent employment.
