The appointed Graduate Teaching Assistant will be working across two schools in a support capacity, working with a number of different pupils and classes. The mornings will be spent at the first, rural 1-form entry school supporting a Year 3 pupil on a 1:1 basis providing academic support, particularly in the core subjects. Each afternoon will then be spent at the second, larger school leading group interventions across the Key Stages and providing in-class support.
The ideal applicant for this Graduate Teaching Assistant position is a reliable and compassionate individual with a strong academic record. A degree of a minimum of 2:2 is required along with good verbal and written communication skills. This post is ideally suited to an individual with a passion for education who is hoping to gain invaluable experience to support their future career ambitions. The preferred Graduate Teaching Assistant will be someone who possesses the ability to work undirected showing the ability to effectively differentiate tasks that will challenge the pupil to achieve the best that they can.
