A restructuring of the College Leadership Team in January 2017 created a new post, that of Bursar, since one of the College's key priorities is the renewal of its support operations and the streamlining of management responsibility and accountability in this regard. The current Bursar, who was an internal appointment in January 2017, has secured a new position in another school, and we therefore seek a replacement. This is an opportunity to apply for the post of Bursar in an exceptional Catholic school with a long and proud tradition, which has consistently adapted and developed to meet the needs and ambitions of its pupils and parents. The post will be paid according to the Leadership Spine, reflecting the seniority of the post and the appointee's experience. The College is heavily over-subscribed; each year it receives approx. 800 applications and there are 160 places available in Year 7. The Bursar is responsible for the logistical management and support of the whole College. Together with the Principal he/she implements the College's financial policy. The Bursar is responsible to the Principal for financial administration and for the deployment of all non-teaching staff, and with the Principal to the Governors for the effective management of the College's resources. The Bursar will take a leading role in the promotion of the Catholic ethos and values of the College and should be an active supporter of all aspects of the co-curricular life of the College, including at some events outside the normal working week. In return we can offer you a wonderful pupil/student body who are confident and hardworking; a staff who are experienced and dedicated to the success of St Edward's College and always ready to "go the extra mile"; a supportive Governing body who bring a wide range of experience to their role; and parents who appreciate the excellence of the education their children are receiving and who are supportive of the College. The role offers: 30 days annual holiday, plus bank holidays and Christmas closure Participation in the College Car Scheme Lifestyle benefits package including childcare vouchers, shopping discounts, etc. Membership of the Merseyside Pension Fund In addition, Catholic staff wishing to have their children educated at the College (subject to places being available and the child/ren satisfying the normal entry criteria) enjoy a measure of precedence in the College admissions code A comprehensive application pack can be found on the College website at . In line with most schools, we do not accept CV's in application for the role. Candidates must complete the College's application form.
