Our client are currently recruiting for a IT Procurement Category Manager to work in the City of London.
Job Purpose:
* Category Manager for IT, Telecommunications and Information and Online Services. Acting as central strategic interface to the internal customers and suppliers for related procurement ad-hoc activities.
* Responsible for developing and implementing a Category Strategy for the UK, delivering on procurement success targets in close cooperation with the Global management Strategy
* Execute strategic procurement processes, including needs planning, market analysis, demand management, formal tenders, evaluation of offers, contract negotiation and proposal of contract award and implementation.
* Sourcing category data analysis to determine business/industry trends and benchmarking.
* Manage strategic commercial relationships including vendors, negotiations, and supplier management.
Key Responsibilities:
* Development and implementation of detailed Country Category Strategies. Supports the requisition with requirements planning and specification.
* Manage strategic commercial relationships including tenders, negotiations, outsourcing decisions and supplier management. Stipulate quality and service level agreements with suppliers, and ensure adequate measurement/response.
* Manage sourcing category specific integration which affiliates across the UK by way of building business relationships and developing and executing a joint strategic on boarding plan
* Negotiate pricing, terms and conditions of sale and warranties of goods, services and products with key suppliers, strategic partners and vendors.
* Support the UK Country Procurement Leader in developing and managing sourcing strategies for all UK Business Units.
* Ensuring the business is compliant with the Company Procurement Policy and Guidelines.
* Expert User for Procurement Strategic Tools; such as Ariba, SAP, ASTRAS and ProC@t (Purchase Order System).
